No matter how you plan to spend your vacation, you'll need a place to stay. Whales are frequent visitors just off the Cape May shore, and the salt marshes are home to horseshoe crabs, red knots, plovers, and many fragile species of sea grasses and elusive wildlife. Climb to the top and experience stunning views of the coast and the Atlantic Ocean. The coast is the home of several preserved migratory bird refuges and a distinguished old lighthouse open to visitors. The streets in Cape May are lined with relaxed verandas, laid back boutiques, and unpretentiously delicious seafood restaurants. Here you can find some of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in the state. The vibe around Cape May is romantic and quaintly Victorian, a holdover from a bygone era before amusement parks and boardwalk arcades. I actually didn't want to give this cottage a high rating because I'm hoping it will be available when it comes time to make reservations in the future. We drove to the north end of the beach and had no problem finding parking. Also, it's a number of blocks from the beach, so we had to drive to get there. There may be more activity then you'd like if your looking for a quiet remote spot. Just be aware that it's along the main thoroughfare. We never had to drive anywhere within Cape May proper. It's about one block from the Commons, and a short walk to some other fun things like mini golf and restaurants. What I really liked about the cottage was the proximity to Cape May attractions. The kitchen and bathroom are in good shape. All fixtures, furniture, and carpeting were in good shape. all appliances were fairly new and in good shape. I was very pleased with the cleanliness and amenities of this cozy cottage. This is not an expensive lease, so I did't expect a lot. Part of our “Check-in” instructions is list of over 75 things to do in the area.“Convenient and Clean” I am giving this cottage a 5 star rating based on value and convenience. We are 20 minutes to Camelback (ski/waterpark), Kalahari waterpark and The Crossing outlet mall. We are a 10 minute drive to ShopRite, Walmart, restaurants, golf and more. Summer rentals are from Friday to Friday(this works best). beach, (Summer only) playground, tennis courts and basketball courts (even ice skating rink in the winter) which is across the lake by boat or less than a 2 mile drive. We provide 5 badges to enjoy our community amenities. Whether you want to sit by the fire place and read a good book, play board games with family and friends, watch Netflix or movies from our classic DVD collection, we try to provide all the essentials that will make your vacation as enjoyable as possible except for sheets and towels. The inside of the house has a very warm and inviting feel that just melts away your stress. We even provide a variety of essential oils to add to the sauna experience! After enjoying the lake, you can relax on the hammock or roast marshmallows at the fire pit. There is even a sauna right off the deck with a great view of the lake. A sandy beach area makes for easy access in and out of the water whether you’re taking out kayaks, boats, an inner tube or wading in our swimmable lake. The house is a short 50 feet from the dock where you can watch the sunrise while enjoying your morning coffee. It’s perfect for romantic getaways or family vacations. Our cabin is charming, quaint and cozy with a shady backyard.
